We are hosting a Vertical Specialist Workshop for experienced vertical cavers who are interested in assisting with training courses for the NSS Vertical Training Commission. If you have your own vertical gear and are looking to take your skills to the next level, come join us! There are a limited number of spots available, so act fast! There will be an online orientation where we will give an overview of the specialist position as well as outlining some requirements. Please have your vertical gear ready so we can make sure it meets VTC standards. In addition to the orientation, specialist candidates will attend an single-day, in-person training class where they will be evaluated on skills and equipment standards. The class will last around 5 hours including a break for lunch. Registration will be open until January 1st.
